3 Things to Help You Live a Better Life

There are few things you can do every day to keep yourself healthy and move forward spiritually!

#1 – Yoga

If you don’t have long to do yoga, you could start by doing cat/cow pose. Yoga helps to keep the spine supple and helps move energy up and down the spine which can be helpful for balancing all the chakras. Some PBS stations such as KET offer yoga every weekday in the morning. Not to mention there are great online resources if you just can’t make time to go to a yoga studio. The sense of community from taking a class with others and to make sure you are practicing in a healthy way can be helpful.

#2 Meditation

If you have not meditated before or feel like you are “doing something wrong,” I want to reassure you to keep trying. Doing as little as 5 minutes of deep breathing meditation is healthy and helpful. Making it a part of your everyday routine is more effective than one long meditation during the weekend. If you have not meditated before or just find it boring, I would suggest starting with guided meditations. There are lots of meditation apps out there so you can experiment. For beginners, I recommend Doreen Virtue’s audio book called Archangels 101. Not only do you have the opportunity to learn about the Archangels, but you could listen to one of the quick chapters on your daily commute then save the meditation for a break later in the day. The more advanced you become the more fun you can have in meditation.

#3 Work on your Dream Everyday!

Often our divine mission is given to us as a dream of what we would like our life to look like. What would you like to do? What are you willing to work hard toward to make it a success? What are you passionate about? If you don’t know the answer to these questions, sit down and just journal about it. Let your mind wander. Do you think your dream is too big for you to obtain? Break it into small parts. When actors become “overnight successes” they normally have put in at least 10 years of hard work. It is not the same for everyone so your dream might not take that long, but if it does just keep working towards your goal.

Yoga, Meditation and working towards your dreams every day will help you lead a more fulfilling life.
